Conviction Capital

For the Defining Technologies

Argan Global is a venture capital firm investing in ambitious founders building category-defining technology companies. We partner with founders early and support them through capital, strategic guidance, and a global network of operators.

ABOUT US

Rooted in Resilience, Growing with Purpose

Argan Global is an equity growth-stage fund built by a world-class team of professionals with a proven global track record in technology and entrepreneurship.
We are defined not just by what we invest in, but how we invest. We are operators before we are investors: a founding team that has scaled businesses, navigated markets, and built what others only advised on.

Our name draws from the African Argan Tree of Life: a tree renowned for its resilience, its purposeful abundance, and its capacity to sustain an entire ecosystem. That is the model we bring to every company we back — deep roots, deliberate growth, and value in every part of the relationship

Growth Capital

We deploy conviction-sized equity into growth-stage technology companies that have validated product-market fit and are ready to scale entering where the risk is calculated and the trajectory is clear.

Global CXO Council

A curated network of C-suite operators and industry leaders who bring cross-border market access, enterprise relationships, and strategic counsel extending the reach of every company in our portfolio.

Decades of Operator Experience

Our team has built, scaled, and exited companies across global markets. We bring hands-on expertise from zero-to-one through institutional capital and exits. We don't just advise; we've lived it.

Built for the Long Haul

We commit to multi-year partnerships that stay active through pivots, fundraising cycles, and scale. Our alignment is structural, deepening as your company grows, not tapering after the term sheet is signed.

Conviction-Driven
Growth Capital

We invest in category-defining deep tech companies at the growth inflection point, with sharp conviction in AI and Defence as the defining platform shifts of this decade. We don’t just write cheques, we enter as long-term partners with a stake in the outcome. Below are the thresholds and criteria we look for before making an investment.

Revenue Validation

Post-PMF Entry

We enter after product-market fit is validated and a meaningful revenue threshold is crossed reducing early-stage risk while capturing the full growth trajectory.

01

Technology Differentiation

Global Innovation Standards

We back companies whose technology is benchmarked against the world’s best not just locally competitive but built to a standard that holds up in global markets. Proprietary IP, defensible architecture, and a clear innovation moat are non-negotiables.

02

Revenue Scalability

Local-to-Global Revenue Scale

We invest in businesses with a proven India revenue engine and a credible path to international expansion companies that can use India as a launchpad to capture global markets, not just a domestic play.

03

While these principles guide every investment we make, two categories of opportunity stand out above the rest both sitting at the intersection of India’s unique advantages and the world’s most consequential technology shifts: the AI revolution and the global re-arming of Defence.

Why AI-Native from India

We believe India has the talent, markets, and infrastructure to produce AI-native companies that scale globally. The opportunity is not in catching up to what has been built elsewhere — it is in creating new categories from the ground up, in sectors where the constraints and context of India make products stronger, faster, and more exportable.

Tweaks

Our thesis spans four layers of AI, each compounding the next: Infrastructure enables Applications; Agentic systems unlock actions; Protocols create network effects.

Layer 01

AI Infrastructure

Back the picks-and-shovels that make model training and inference faster, cheaper, observable, and compliant.

Moats we look for

Layer 02

AI Application

Workflow-native apps with measurable ROI. We favour vertical depth, proprietary data loops, and tight system integrations.

Moats we look for

Layer 03

Agentic AI

Agents that do the work, not just draft it: plan, call tools, verify, and close loops safely. Focus on bounded, high-value runbooks with real system authority.

Moats we look for

Layer 01

Protocol AI

Rails that let models, tools, and agents discover each other, transact, and prove provenance — unlocking network effects and multi-party workflows.

Why Defence-Native from India

We believe India is uniquely positioned to produce defence-native companies that compete and win on the global stage. The opportunity is not in replicating what Western primes have built over decades ; it is in building indigenous, software-defined, and autonomous systems from the ground up, in a country where operational urgency, cost discipline, and scale make products battle-hardened and globally exportable.

Layer 01

Defence Platforms

Next-generation hardware systems drones, loitering munitions, UCAVs, and naval platforms engineered for cost-efficiency, modularity, and rapid deployment at scale

Moats We Look For:

Layer 02

Autonomous Intelligence

AI-powered systems for target acquisition, mission planning, real-time decision-making, and ISR turning raw sensor data into battlefield advantage with minimal human latency.

Moats we look for

Layer 03

Counter-UAS & Networks

Layered defence and communication systems jamming, detection, kill-chain coordination, and resilient mesh networks that protect assets and ensure battlefield connectivity under contested conditions.

Moats We Look For:

Layer 01

Sovereign Infrastructure

The supply chain, MRO, simulation, and training infrastructure that makes a defence ecosystem self-reliant reducing import dependency while building durable institutional relationships with government and armed forces
